Every member of the Smith family plays a role in the operation and advancement of the Judith Lynn Band Organ. Read more to see the magic behind the music!
The heart and soul of HTC Productions is the owner, Dale Smith (Mr. D). His passion for entertaining goes back to his portrayal of Santa Claus as a teenager, which he does professionally today. Also known as Pastor Dale and Herky the Clown, he is a proud 1987 graduate of the Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey Clown College. Fun fact: HTC Productions is named after Herky!
Mr. D's eldest son Zach is the brain behind the JLBO's new songs and ongoing technical advancements. With education and experience in both music and electrical work, he spends a lot of time writing new musical arrangements, troubleshooting technical advancements like lights and lyrics, and completing maintenance and repairs on the band organ if needed. Zach's innovation and initiative takes the JLBO to the next level!
Elizabeth, Zach's wife and Mr. D's daughter-in-law (which he usually abbreviates to DIL), married into the family business and helps out by designing flyers, engaging with social media, and advancing communication processes. She also assists Zach with tuning, maintenance, repairs, and operation of the band organ -- and she's usually the first set of ears to listen to Zach's newest songs!
Dog is man's best friend -- in Mr. D's case, his best friend is Miley! She is a shepherd and Cavalier King Charles Spaniel mix. Earlier in life, she went everywhere with Mr. D, so she is not a stranger to the JLBO. She stays at home more as she grows older, but she is still always there for the family!
Vonda Smith
Vonda is Mr. D's wife and #1 supporter. She is a nurse and mother of three children (plus a bonus DIL). And, since Mr. D is a kid at heart, she often has her hands full managing everything that all of the kids need.
Will Smith
Will, the middle child in the Smith family, is a recent high school graduate. He is very hard-working at his jobs. He's good with his hands, so he's a big help to Zach when the JLBO needs repairs.
Emma Smith
The youngest in the family is Emma, who will soon be entering her senior year of high school. She is busy with band, choir, and musicals at school but still finds time to lend a hand at events if she's needed.
Strudel Smilden
Zach and Elizabeth's beagle/pit bull mix, Strudel, often provides emotional support while they work on JLBO tasks from their home. Plus, she doesn't mind when her "pawrents" play their own array of musical instruments!
